NOTICE Saline County, Nebraska Planning and Zoning

An application for a Conditional Use Permit in the zoning regulations as applied to the property described as:

NW ¼ of SE ¼ & SW ¼ of NE ¼ section 8-5-1E; Village of Tobias

The application has been filed by: Today’s Power for Norris Public Power

A request has been filed for the purpose of erecting a 992 kW AC solar facility.  The application will herd at the next Planning Commission meeting on April 16th 2024 at about 7:15 P.M. in the Assembly Room of the Saline County Courthouse located at 204 South High Street, Wilber, Nebraska at which time you may appear if you so desire, either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to or in support of this request. Phone calls and written testimony will be accepted at the Zoning Administrators office up until the meeting.

The Saline County Board of Commissioners will hear the application at their meeting on April 30th, 2024 in the Commissioners Room in the courthouse in Wilber.  The meeting starts at 9:30 but please check the meeting agenda for the official time of the hearing.

The meetings are open to any individual who care to attend and are not limited to those receiving copies of this notice.

A detailed map will be kept on file in the Administrators office.

 

PERSONAL PROPERTY NOTICE

Personal Property returns have been mailed to anyone holding or owning depreciable tangible personal property which is used in a trade or business or for production of income. These returns must be filed in our office, on or before May 1, 2024.  If you think you need to file and have not received a schedule, please contact the Assessor’s office.

Personal Property reported after May 1st deadline shall be subject to a penalty.  Impositions of these penalties are mandatory.

HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION NOTICE

Homestead Exemption Applications have been mailed to anyone who has had a homestead exemption in the previous year or who has requested the 2024 forms to be mailed.

In order to qualify for the 2024 Homestead Exemption, ALL applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Own and occupy their home as of January 1, 2024 and remain in the home through August 15, 2024.
  2. Applicant must be 65 years of age or older before January 1 of the application year or;
  3. Applicant must be a disabled individual / disabled veterans who meets and complies with all qualifications or;
  4. Applicant must be an individual who has a developmental disability as defined in Neb. §83-1205.
  5. Applicants must also meet the income guidelines as determined by the Nebraska Department of Revenue.

Applications and income statements must be completed and returned to the Saline County Assessor’s office by June 30, 2024.  If you think you may qualify or want more information about the homestead exemption, please call our office at (402)821-2588.
